Message of the Director:
General Administration of Geodesy and Cartography states with pleasure that by having such a centralized web site all over Afghanistan everyone can access to Maps related to Construction Infrastructure of Afghanistan. Our service is not only for our country but also for our people throughout the world.
Geodesy and Cartography head office the only national mapping organization in the country, is responsible to compile different scale maps with different purposes. Which solve needs of security organization of country, and create topographic maps for the infrastructural development and economical projects to complete national strategic program. For arriving to this goal Geodesy and cartography office has task to expand geodetic project all over the country:
- Horizontal network: establishment GPS ground control points with, first, second and third degree all over the country.
- Vertical network: expanding of vertical network all over the country with first, second and third degree leveling and .
- Gravimetry network: establishment of gravimetry network all over the country with first, second and third degree.
Aerial Photography: for compilation of topographic maps, photo maps, photo plans and photo mosaics.
Technically control of boundary points, establishment of new points in the boundaries of country with agreement of neighbor countries.
Cadastral survey services: for surveying of government and private, agricultural and non agricultural land and registration of them.
Providing of meta data of spatial data of Afghanistan and establishment of Afghanistan Spatial Data Infrastructure (ASDI): collecting of Afghanistan all spatial data information for establishment of ASDI that can work as a information bank of data. That from customer and services section this information is available for user.
